V. Amutha and S. Srisudha

Abstract

The present study focuses attention on the relationship between algal diversity and physicochemical characteristics of contaminated water bodies of Mad urai. Cyanophycean members were quantitatively rich in all water bodies. Predominant population of diatoms was noticed in Narasingapuram and Chinnachokkikulam site. Principal component and Bray Curtis analysis was conducted to pre duct the similarity matrices of study sites.
