VEGETATIONAL ANAIYSIS OF GRASSLANDS OF KEIBUL LAMJAO NATIONAL PARK (KLNP) MANIPUR, INDIA

Abstract

In the study on vegetational analysis of grasslands of Keibul Lamjao National Park (KLNP) located in Bishenpur distict in Manipur (latitude 23"83' N' to 25"85' N and longitude 93"03 E' to 94"78 E')- NE India, 53 species belonging to 29 families were enumerated. The vegetational data was subject to classical IVI calculation and plotting dendograms from different sites. It was found that cluster approach is an agglomerative approach which places similar objects into clusters. Chaemophytes and hemicryptophytes formed close clusters. Trend in diversity and distribution are also discussed.
