EFFECT OF MONOCHROMATIC LIGHT ON PIGMENT PRODUCTION AND THEIR TOXICITY ON SEED GERMINATIONKyanjai Rupa Mawthols, Rutudhwaj Deshpande, Diksha Ware and Minakshi IVIahajanAbstract Aspergillus niger, Alternaria and Fusarium were isolated from leaves of tomato and fruits of dolichos and amla. These forms were grown on GN medium. The color of culture filtrate was pink for Fusarium, Yellow for Aspergillus and Alternaria. The development of pigments was observed in orange, blue, violet, yellow, green and red light. For Fusarium violet and green light was significant. For Aspergillus niger and Alternaria individual light treatment was insignificant for the growth and pigment of fungi. Effect of culture filtrates on the germination of seeds exhibit low percentage of germination. In Alternaria the growth of root and shoot was significant.
