A.C. Banerjee, Indu Bajwa and K.K. Behal

Abstract

Since disposal of Distillery effluent into water bodies posses problems, an attempt has been made to use this effluent for irrigation purpose. Effect of various concentration (20, 40, 60, 80 and 100%) v/v of distillery effluent on various parameters like Leaf area and Chlorophyll content of Casuarina equsetifolia were studied. The chlorophyll content varied significantly among all the treatment at age of six months. Plants treated with 40% of effluent recorded highest chlorophyll content and greatest leaf area. Ecol.
