Abstract

Soil Acidity affects all aspects of nodulation and nitrogen fixation from survival and multiplication of the Rhizobia in soil, through infection and nodulation to nitrogen fixation Acid tolerant is more readily colonize an acid soil and subsequently improve the growth of host plant. The application of nitrogen and Rhizobium inoculation significantly increased the plant height (cm) and dry matter accumulation (g plant') at various growth stages of crop. The highest yield of blackgram was noticed in local strain treatment combination, number of pods and branches plant test weight and biological yield also increased to great extent by the application of N, and Rhizolnum inoculation.
