STIMULATION OF INVERTASE PRODUCTION BY P. PLIRPLIROGENLIM IN PRESENCE OF ZEOLITESA.B. DHAKE AND M.B. PATILAbstract P. purpurogetzum was found to produces extracellular, intracellular and cell wall bound invertases. In the present investigation the influence of different zeolites was studied on production of invertase by P purpurogenum. Amongst the three different cation containing zeolites only sodium-containing zeolite at 0.5% stimulated the enzyme production to significant level, whereas potassium and ZSM zeolites were completely ineffective.
