ANTIBIOGRAM OF BACTERIAL ISOLATES FROM BOVINE MASTITIS IN THALAIVASAL AREA OF SALEM DISTRICT, INDIAN. VENGADABADY, K. MANI AND A. KOTEESWARANAbstract Bovine mastitis is the most important and serious threat to the dairy industry, which not only affecting the milk yield but also destroying one or more quarter of the udder. The main obstacle in the effective control of bovine mastitis is the emergence of drug resistant bacterial strains that might be due to indiscriminate use of wide variety of antibiotics. Under these circumstances, it is essential to record the antibiogram for the selected bacterial isolates affecting the much animals in a particular area. The present study was undertaken to assess the antibiotic sensitivity pattern of organisms isolated from cases of bovine mastitis in and around Thalaivasal of Salem district, Tamil Nadu.
