Fienzene and alcohol extracts of root, stem and leaves of irides procumkns (composi fie ) were prepared by successive solvent extraction followed by evaporation using hot air oven at 40-50°C. All the extracts were subjected to qualitative analysis to find out phytoconstituents present in them. All the extracts were screened for their antimicrobial activity against Salmonella typhi, Escherichia cell, Bacillus emus. Salmonella typhinntriunt, Shigella dysenteriae and Pseudanianas species by zone of inhibition. The values of aone Of inhibition measured and compared with standard values. All the extracts of roah stem and leaves showed high sensitive to Pseudomonas species, Shigella dysenteriae and S. lytanniurnan. Moderate and tem sensitivity to S. typhi, E. colt and B. |
