ANJALI HANS AND ARIJN DEV SHARMA

Abstract

A total of nine Strepfornyors strains designated as ALKC 1-9 were isolated horn soil sample Out of them four promosing strains ALKC I, 3, 4 and 5 were selected for further studies which produced high extracellulm invertase 55.2, 92.5, 75.9, 1113 (lUB), respectively, after 6h of culturing at pH 55 temperature 37.0 in the presence of 396 sucrose. The optimum temperature for ALKC 1,3,5 strains was 55°C, whereas for ALKC 4 strain the optimum temperature was 60°C. The pH optima for these strains were 45 for ALKC 1 and 6.0 for ALKC 3,4 and 5. All these conditions make .5 f repromors sps. ALKC 1, 3,4 and 5 potential candidates for production of high fructose syrup and invert sugar production al industrial male.
