SEASONAL DYNAMICS OF PHYT•PLANKTON POPULATION IN RELATION TO ABIOTIC FACTORS OF A FRESH WATER POND DEVELOPED FROM WASTELAND OF BRICK-KILNMUKUL SINHA, SADGURU PRAKASH AND KHALID K. ANSARIAbstract Phytoplankton population density was maximum in April (1110 units/litre) and minimum in December (423 Units/litre). Twenty two species of phytoplankton were recorded of these 7 belong Chlorophyceae, 6 to Bacilliariophyceae, 5 to Cyanophyceae and 4 to Euglenaphyceae. Various physico chemical factors of water are in postitive correlation with different phytoplankton groups.
