IMPACT OF COVID -19 PANDEMIC ON GREEN INDUSTRY

Abstract

The paper investigates the COVID-19 Pandemic’s impact on India’s Greenex industry. For thispurpose,the present study selected the BSE Greenex Index from the BSE (Bomby Stock Exchange) of India. By usingthe logarithm to converted daily price into the daily returns for further analysis. Descriptive Statistics, ADFTest, Q-Q Plot and GARCH (1, 1) Model were used and its results showed that the BSE Greenex indexrecorded positive return with the highest return. The ADF Test confirmed that the data attained the Unitroot at level difference. The study also found that the BSE Greenex Index were volatile throughout theCOVID 19 Pandemic Period. Thus the study concluded that COVID 19 Pandemic influenced the IndianGreenex sectors, during the study period.
