The dietary feed which are available in the market forfishes and monogastric animals such as poultry, pig etc. are quite expensive and are not easily available.Silkworm pupae meal, which is a waste of the sericultural industry, is a highly nutritious and cost-effectiveproduct that can fulfil the dietary requirement and successfully utilized as a feed for these organisms. Thepresent review displays the utilization of silkworm (both mulberry as well as non-mulberry) pupae as analternate source of protein in fish, poultry, and pig feeding. |
