MATHEMATICAL SIMULATION OF WHEAT LOSSES IN COMBINE HARVESTER HEADERB. Karami , M. Almassi, A.M. Borgheii, S. Minaii and B. Khaledi
Due to inappropriate harvesting machinary, imperfect machines or incorrect machine adjustments, some of the product is lost during harvesting. Some of these are because of the combine header. The main objective of this paper was to study mathematical simulation of wheat Loss in combine header. To do so a study was carried out in Kermanshah and Ilam Provinces in 2010-11. In this study, age, brand, forward speed (Velosity), horizontal position and type and the reel rotational speed parameters were independent and head losses were considered dependent variables. The tests were conducted in factorial design. Analysis of variance through SPSS 18 software indicated that all independent parameters had 1% significant effect on header losses. The following equations based on the simulation indicate the effects of brand (B), Forward speed ( Km/hr,V ), age (year, A), reel position (Cm,RP), reel type (RT) , reel rotary speed (Rpm, RS) on the header losses ( %,Lh).
