Abstract

The D2 statistic showed that there was adequate diversity among the genotypes with D2 values ranging from 57.245 to 412470.89. On the basis of D2 values, 196 genotypes of rabi sorghum were grouped into 18 different clusters. Clustering pattern of these genotypes did not necessarily follow the geographical distribution. On the basis of inter-cluster distance, cluster mean, path analysis and per se performance the genotypes (RSLG-1015, RSLG-832, RSLG-847, RSLG-935, RSLG-869, RSLG-833, RSLG-940, RSLG-870, RSLG-777, RSLG-917, RSLG-939, RSLG-948 and RSLG-946) have been identified for hybridization programme.
