ENDOPHYTIC FUNGI IN THE MEDICINAL TREES OF KODAGUA.K. Vinu and M. JayashankaraAbstract Eight different tree species commonly seen in the sacred groves of Kodagu from eight different families were selected for the study. The medicinal trees selected were used by the local people for curing various health disorders. In the present study, a survey in the sacred groves has been done to know the medicinal tree diversity and their medicinal uses. Endophytic fungi were isolated from each tree species and identified to know their host specificity.
