Abstract

An analysis of the influence of the growth hormone genes and insulin-like growth factor 1 on the quality of milk and the milk productivity of the Holstein breed has been made. The preferred for the Holstein breed bGH-AluIVV genotype has been identified, which is associated with the higher rates of the life-long milk yield per entire lactation, the life-long milk yield per 305 days, the life-long milk fat yield, and the life-long milk protein yield.
