Abstract

The experiment was carried out in the agricultural research field of the Department of Horticulture and Garden Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Mosul during the agricultural season 2018 - 2019 to study the effect of colored plastic coverage on the growth characteristics and yield of the two factors they colored plastic coverage and three levels (control, M0, transparent plastic, M1, Green plastic, M2, Blue plastic, M3) and Classes (Aquadols, V1, and Koaljee V2) within the RCBD design with three replicates. The study showed the superiority of Aquadols in the traits of plant height, number of branches and number of pods per plant, while the superiority of the variety Koalaji in most of the other qualities of the yield represented yield per plant, total yield and the weight of 100 seed, Length and width of pod. We did not notice any significant differences between the types of mulch in most objectives except the number of branches, the plants grown under green plastic have superiority. The overlap between the cover and the varieties was greater than Aquadols under transparent plastic in the height plant and the number of pods per/ plant, and the superiority of the class Koaljee in the yield per/ and total yield under transparent plastic and comparison with the lowest values of the class Aquadols under the types of coverage and comparison.
