Abstract

Indicators of practical value, biological efficiency, and marketability of annual legume-grass mixtures in the cultivation for grain in the conditions of the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia have been determined. The analysis of the performance indicators of annual mixed agrocenoses with various cereal crops and peas has allowed establishing that peas supplement oats and barley the best. Such mixtures provide high and stable yields over years- in the years unfavorable for beans, the yield was formed due to the cereal component of the mixture with the LER of 0.89 – 1.0; in the years favorable for legumes, the LER of peas in a mixture was 0.43 – 0.79. The aggressiveness coefficient of the components in mixed crops changed from 2.5 to -2.5, depending on the varieties in the mixed crops and the agricultural-meteorological conditions in the years of the research. Barley is the most aggressive herb in cultivation in the mixture with pea, which can withstand legume crops. It has been found that by indicators of productivity, the yield of crude protein, and the yield of fodder units, mixed crops have an advantage over single-species crops, and are of practical value for agricultural producers.
