INFLUENCE OF BIO FERTILIZERS UNDER DRIP FERTGATION SYSTEM ON SOIL MICROBIAL POPULATION AND ENZYME ACTIVITIES IN RHIZOSPHERE OF MUNGBEANK. SHRAVANI, S. TRIVENI, P.C. LATHA AND K. DAMODARA CHARIAbstract Sustainable agriculture involves optimizing the benefits from biological and inorganic inputs through their interactive application for the maintenance of soil health and productivity. The present study was aimed to investigate the synergistic effect of inorganic fertilizers (100% of recommended dose of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer) and biofertilizers (Rhizobium, PSB Consortium) on microbial population and enzyme activities in the rhizospheric soil of Mungbean crop under different methods of application of biofertlizers. The field experiment was conducted at water technology centre fields, college farm, Collegeof Agriculture, PJTSAU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, Telangana during kharif 2016 â 2017. The results indicated significantly higher soil microbial population, i.e bacterial, Fungal, Rhizobial, Pseudomonas,Actinomycetes and rhizospheric soil enzyme activities, statistically higher i.e Soil dehydrogenase activity,Acid and Alkaline phosphatase activity, Urease activity were under conjoint application of consortium bio fertilizer with 100% recommended dose of fertilizers under drip fertigation system at different stages of Mungbean crop.
